Stone paving works on the roads of Kabul Mandawi (Bazaar) in District 1 have been completed in line with approved standards. The project extends from the Pul-e Bagh Omomi area to the Kabul River, along Maiwand Avenue, opposite Chand-e Awal, through Baghban Street, and up to the Shah Do Shamshira Bridge.
The project covers a total length of 1,330 meters, with widths ranging from 10 to 14 meters, and includes drainage systems and walkways. Currently, only the installation of street lighting remains, after which the project will be officially handed over for public use.
Given the heavy traffic congestion in the Mandawi area, construction activities were carried out during nighttime hours, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., to avoid disrupting the daily activities of citizens.
With the completion of these roads, smoother movement is expected for residents, particularly shopkeepers in the Mandawi area, while improved order and organization will also be established in the area.
