Construction work on the third section of Khair Khana Kotal Road is progressing in a well-organized manner, with efforts focused on completing the project within a short timeframe and effectively addressing traffic congestion in the area.
The project runs along the right side from the Sarai Shamali area to Khair Khana Kotal, covering a total length of 3,647 meters and a width of 27 meters. It includes the construction of retaining walls, drainage systems, pedestrian walkways, and other elements required for a standard road.
Through the efforts of Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Works Maintenance and Monitoring, the initial asphalt layer had already been applied to a 1,800-meter section with a width of 12 meters before the onset of winter.
Upon completion, the road is expected to provide substantial transport facilities and ensure safe and convenient passage for travelers heading toward the country’s northern provinces.
