
Initial work has begun on the construction and expansion of the road from the Old Taimani intersection to the Taimani Project intersection in District 4, as part of efforts to expand Kabul’s transport infrastructure. The project is being implemented at a cost of 41 million and 950 thousand Afghanis.
The project was officially inaugurated in the presence of Engineer Mirurrahman Naseri, Head of the Directorate of Programs and Projects Management at Kabul Municipality, Mawlawi Ghulam Mahboob Irfani, Head of District 4, and residents.
At the ceremony, the Head of the Directorate of Programs and Projects Management stated that the road has been designed by Kabul Municipality’s Urban Infrastructure Directorate with a length of 610 meters and a width of 30 meters. The project includes pedestrian walkways, drainage systems, flowerbeds, street lighting, and road markings, and will be completed in a fundamental and standard manner within five months. He also called on residents to cooperate with Kabul Municipality in implementing this important project.
With the completion of the road, various transport and social facilities will be provided for residents of Taimani and nearby areas.
Along the route of the road, 41 properties fall under expropriation, and in accordance with established principles and procedures, alternative rights will be granted to their owners.
