Initial activities for the construction of a new connecting road linking the Kabul–Jalalabad Road, passing through the industrial parks, and extending to the Kabul–Parwan Road are currently underway in Districts 9, 18, and 19.
According to the plan, the road will be 3,544 meters long and 60 meters wide, and will include a 631-meter canal. The project is scheduled to be completed in a fundamental and standard manner within 15 months.
The scope of work also covers the construction of sidewalks, drainage systems, and flowerbeds, along with the installation of street lighting and road markings.
Once completed, the road is expected to significantly improve transit for residents of Districts 9, 18, and 19, help regulate traffic flow on the eastern and northeastern routes of Kabul city, and contribute to economic development in nearby areas.
It should be noted that 106 properties along the route fall under expropriation, and in line with established principles and procedures, alternative rights will be provided to their owners.
