The Sanitation Directorate of Kabul Municipality has begun installing urban waste bins along pedestrian walkways on roads in District 3. In the first phase, 300 waste bins will be installed across the district to support proper waste management and help maintain environmental cleanliness.
According to officials from the Sanitation Directorate, a total of 5,038 waste bins are currently being installed in various parts of the city. These include 50-liter bins designated for dry waste such as paper, plastic, and bottles, as well as 50 large waste containers with a capacity of seven cubic meters.
In addition, locations for the installation of 2,000 more waste bins have been identified in six other districts, with installation planned for the next phase.
The Sanitation Directorate has called on all residents to use these waste bins properly, refrain from dumping waste on roads and sidewalks, and cooperate with Kabul Municipality’s sanitation workers to help maintain the cleanliness, beauty, and order of the city.
