
The Directorate of Greenery of Kabul Municipality has begun planting thousands of fruit-bearing and ornamental saplings in the flowerbeds of Company Road and in Dehbori Park to enhance urban beauty and expand green spaces.
Kabul Municipality’s Head of Greenery, Mawlawi Abdul Wakil Mutawakel, highlighted the importance of green areas in urban life and stated that 500 pine and 100 morpan saplings, along with 10,000 ornamental plants, will be planted in the Company Road median. In addition, 371 morpan, 4,000 hedge plants, 60 salsify plants, and 50 pine saplings, as well as 1,500 flowers and ornamental plants, will be planted in Dehbori Park.
He further noted that meadows will also be cultivated both in the road median and inside the park to improve the landscape.
Meanwhile, the Head of District 3, Mufti Akhtar Mohammad Osmani, encouraged residents to take part in the tree-planting campaign by planting at least one sapling each. He emphasized that, with public cooperation, green areas will be further expanded across different parts of the district.
