Initial Construction and Expansion Works on Pul Khushk Road in District 13 Commences

Initial construction and expansion works on Pul Khushk Road, extending from Barchi Road to Qala-e-Qazi in District 13, have been commenced at a cost of 150 million Afghanis with the aim of developing transportation infrastructure and reducing congestion in Kabul city.
The Head of Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Programs and Projects Management, Engineer Mirurrahman Naseri, said that this important road construction project is scheduled to be fundamentally completed within 10 months under the supervision of the Directorate after the clearance of expropriation obstacles.
He added that the road, measuring 2,376 meters in length and 30 meters in width, has been designed to include drainage channels, pedestrian walkways, flowerbeds, streetlights, road markings, and other components of a standard road, and holds particular importance in regulating traffic flow.
A total of 296 properties along the route are subject to expropriation, and their owners will be granted alternative rights in accordance with procedures and regulations.
Residents of the area welcomed the construction of the road, stating that it will resolve existing transportation challenges and create opportunities for economic and planned development in the area.
