Kabul Municipality has initiated the construction of a new road from the Bibi Mahro area to Hangarha Intersection in District 10, aimed at promoting economic growth and standard urban development.
The Head of the Programs and Projects Management Directorate, Engineer Mirurrahman Naseri, stated that the project has been designed to ensure balanced development, address priority needs, and reduce traffic congestion. According to him, the road will measure 3,846 meters in length and 45 meters in width.
He added that the project includes drainage channels, pedestrian walkways, flowerbeds, street lighting, road markings, and other components of a standard road. It is expected to be completed within 13 months at a cost of 370,428,415 Afghanis.
Meanwhile, the Head of District 10, Mawlawi Noorul Wahab Noori, noted that 813 properties along the route are subject to expropriation, and their owners will be granted alternative rights in accordance with procedures and regulations.
He further highlighted that the construction of this road will contribute to the development of transportation and traffic infrastructure in Kabul city, while also creating opportunities for economic growth in the surrounding areas.
It is also worth noting that Kabul Municipality is implementing similar road construction projects in various districts to support sustainable urban development.
