A pedestrian overpass has been installed along Barchi Road in District 13, in front of Asif Mayel High School, with the aim of improving urban order and reducing traffic accidents.
The bridge has been constructed by Kabul Municipality as part of a broader project to install 10 pedestrian overpasses in high-traffic areas. Officials stated that six overpasses have so far been completed and installed across the city, while four more are planned to be installed in areas of need.
The project is intended to provide safe passage for pedestrians and minimize the risk of traffic incidents in crowded locations.
The overpass in front of Asif Mayel High School measures 32.9 meters in length, 2.2 meters in width, and 6.1 meters in height, and has been designed with four metal supports, along with 124 meters of railings and stairways.
