Kabul Municipality has started the construction and expansion project of Bagh-e Qazi Road in District 1 as part of efforts to reduce traffic congestion in the central areas of the city, with work underway to complete and hand over the project for public use within the current year.
According to the new design prepared by the Urban Infrastructure Directorate of Kabul Municipality, Bagh-e Qazi Road will be constructed from Nejat Monument to Ibn Sina Hospital with a standard design, extending 2,350 meters in length and 45 meters in width.
The project also includes the construction of drainage systems, sidewalks, and green spaces, along with the installation of lighting and road markings.
The completion of the road is expected not only to reduce traffic congestion but also to provide social and transportation facilities for commercial markets and residents using the route.
Engineers from the Directorate of Programs and Projects Management are continuously carrying out technical and engineering inspections of the project to ensure high-quality implementation.
Kabul Municipality stated that it remains committed to the expansion of traffic and transportation infrastructure across the city, with similar projects also being implemented in various districts of Kabul.
