Construction of Kabul–Jalalabad and Kabul–Bagram Connecting Road Progressing Steadily

Construction work on the new connecting road linking the Kabul–Jalalabad Road with the industrial parks and continuing onward to the Kabul–Bagram Road in Districts 9, 18, and 19 is progressing in an organized manner and according to schedule.
The infrastructure project extends 3,554 meters in length and 60 meters in width. It has been designed with two main carriageways and two service lanes and includes a 631-meter canal, drainage systems, sidewalks, green spaces, lighting installations, and road markings.
Project officials stated that efforts are underway to ensure completion within the planned timeframe and in accordance with technical standards. Under the current schedule, the project is expected to be completed and opened for public use by the end of the current year.
Once completed, the road will connect Kabul’s eastern zone with the northern part of the city, while also providing significant transportation convenience for residents. The project is also expected to play an important role in improving traffic distribution and management.
