Asphalt Paving of Remaining Sections on the Road from Omid Sabz to Irfani Road Continues

The initial layer of asphalt has been completed on a section of the road extending from Omid Sabz Township to Irfani Road in District 13, covering approximately 900 meters in length.
According to Project Manager Engineer Shabir Ahmad Shirzad, the road has a total length of 3,845 meters and a width of 45 meters. More than 2,400 meters of the road have already been asphalted, while the remaining section of approximately 700 meters is expected to be paved in the coming days.
He added that construction work is also underway on the remaining section of the road extending to Qala-e-Qazi, which measures 1,117 meters in length and 20 meters in width. Efforts are being made to complete the project and put it into operation within the current year.
The project includes the construction of drainage systems, sidewalks, green areas, lighting installations, road markings, and other standard road features.
Upon completion, the project is expected to improve transportation conditions, support economic growth in surrounding areas, and provide significant convenience for residents.
Engineers from the Directorate of Programs and Projects Management of Kabul Municipality are continuously carrying out technical and engineering inspections to ensure the quality of the project.
It is also noted that construction work on the remaining sections is progressing rapidly so they can soon be prepared for asphalt paving.
