
Construction and expansion work on the Kabul–Kandahar Road, extending from Company Bridge to the Gypsum Factory in the Qala-e-Haider Khan area, is progressing rapidly under the supervision of the Directorate of Works Maintenance and Monitoring of Kabul Municipality.
The road extends 7 kilometers in length and 60 meters in width. According to project plans, the construction will be completed in accordance with standard engineering specifications within an 18-month period.
Recognizing the importance of this route as a key economic corridor in western Kabul, Kabul Municipality has started the construction and expansion project to address the transportation and traffic challenges faced by residents.
Upon completion, the road is expected to provide significant travel convenience for citizens, support economic growth in surrounding areas, and help reduce traffic congestion along the corridor.
