Initial Construction Begins on New Connecting Road Between Districts 12 and 21

Kabul Municipality has started the initial construction of a new connecting road in the Pul-e Charkhi area linking Districts 12 and 21.
Following the clearance of properties designated for expropriation, the road will be constructed in accordance with standard engineering specifications within a 10-month period. The project extends 1,410 meters in length and 30 meters in width.
The project is among Kabul Municipality’s key infrastructure initiatives aimed at supporting planned urban development, improving the city’s transportation network, and providing better travel facilities for residents.
A total of 135 properties along the route are subject to expropriation, and their owners will receive compensation and alternative rights in accordance with the applicable laws, procedures, and regulations.
Residents of the area welcomed the launch of the project, describing it as an important step toward promoting economic growth, improving public accessibility, and transforming unplanned areas into planned urban communities.
