The final layer of asphalt paving has commenced on the road extending from Pul-e Artal to Dehmazang in District 3 under the technical supervision of Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Programs and Projects Management.
The road extends 1,040 meters in length and has widths of 27 and 30 meters. It has been designed with one main carriageway and one secondary carriageway and includes drainage canals, sidewalks, and other standard features.
Officials stated that asphalt paving remains to be completed on a 30-meter section of the road in front of the Traffic Directorate, adding that work on this section will be carried out soon.
Upon completion, the project is expected to reduce traffic congestion in the central areas of Kabul while improving transportation for residents and creating opportunities for economic growth in the surrounding areas.
