Following the completion of the foundational works, Kabul Municipality has commenced asphalt paving on a new connecting road in the Ahmad Shah Baba Mina area of District 12, extending from Nowruzabad (Eimal Momand) Intersection to the area beside the 12th Security Unit.
The road measures 2,096 meters in length and has widths of 30 and 40 meters. It has been designed to include drainage canals, sidewalks, flowerbeds, street lighting, and road markings.
During the first phase, an 810-meter section of the road will be paved in two lanes, covering a total of 1,620 meters. Meanwhile, construction work on the remaining sections is also progressing according to the plan to prepare them for asphalt paving as soon as possible.
Upon completion, the road will provide significant transportation benefits for residents, particularly those living in District 12, while creating opportunities for economic growth in the surrounding areas.
Engineers from Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Programs and Projects Management are conducting technical and engineering inspections throughout all stages of the project to ensure quality standards are maintained and the project is completed within the scheduled timeframe.
