The first layer of asphalt paving on the new connecting road from Bini Hissar area to Stanekzai Intersection in Kabul’s District 8 has been completed in accordance with technical and engineering standards.
The road project extends 1,655 meters in length and 40 meters in width. It includes the construction of drainage channels, sidewalks, flowerbeds, bicycle lanes, and culverts, as well as the installation of streetlights, road markings, and other standard road facilities.
Engineers from Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Programs and Projects Management are conducting continuous technical and engineering supervision throughout all stages of the project.
Meanwhile, construction work is also underway on the road connecting Stanekzai Intersection to Bagrami. Asphalt paving on that section will begin following the completion of the foundational works.
Upon completion of both projects, the Kabul–Logar Road will be connected to the Bagrami area, providing residents with improved transportation and greater ease of movement.
The project has so far reached 70 percent completion, and efforts are underway to complete it as soon as possible and open it for public use.
