Construction of the foundational sections of a new connecting road from Bagrami Bridge to the road south of Butkhak Intersection is progressing rapidly across Districts 8 and 22. Efforts are underway to complete this phase soon and prepare the road for asphalt paving.
The project extends 5,634 meters in length and varies between 30 and 45 meters in width. It includes the construction of drainage channels, sidewalks, and flowerbeds, as well as the installation of streetlights and road markings.
The new connecting road from Bagrami Bridge to Butkhak Intersection will serve as an alternative route to Bagrami Road and play an important role in improving the transportation network in this part of the city.
Upon completion, part of the traffic flow is expected to be diverted from Bagrami Road to the new route, helping reduce traffic congestion and facilitate travel for residents.
The project is also expected to create opportunities for the growth and expansion of economic activities.
Through the completion of infrastructure projects and the expansion of new roads, Kabul Municipality aims to strengthen the city’s transportation network and provide greater convenience for residents.
The project is scheduled to be completed and opened for public use during the current year.
