Concrete paving works on five secondary roads and alleys in Qalacha, located in the 33rd Section of District 8, are nearing completion. The project is being implemented by Kabul Municipality in cooperation with UNOPS, with efforts underway to complete the remaining works as soon as possible.
The project covers a total length of 1,195 meters, with road widths ranging from five to eight meters. In addition to concrete paving, the project includes the construction of drainage channels.
Once completed, the project is expected to ease transportation difficulties for residents, improve access to transportation, and help address some environmental challenges, contributing to better traffic and environmental conditions in the area.
The project has also provided employment opportunities for several local residents during its implementation.
